Chinchillas
On the 9th Feb 2007 we collected two chinchillas from the chinchilla rescue center in York (link). They were Fern and Bluebell, mother and daughter. A few weeks later we gained another member of our chinchilla family from St Helens College animal department, another girl who was being bullied by her cage mates, her name is Buttercup.
These pictures show their adventures as they settle in and make friends. Our goal is to have all 3 living together...

This set of pictures shows our first few days with Fern and Bluebell. Fern is the daughter of Bluebell and is 2 years younger. The last picture in the set is Buttercup, our late arrival. They were a bit unsure at first but it didn't take them long to settle in! |

Pictures of Fern playing on the desk in my office this evening (17/01/2008). She especially seemed to like sitting on the CCTV recorder!
