Transcription System [14 images]
This system was designed for a client to help automate their transcription service. Clients upload audio files to the system and then they are assigned to a transcriber who in turn uploads the finished transcription. The system automates some of the functionality such as contacting the client by email when the transcription is finished. It also features a simple reporting system and is written in classic ASP with an MS SQL database backend.

Ambition Air System [7 images]
At the College the travel and tourism suite have a mock 747 set up with a check in and boarding area (see pictures below). This is a web based system to create and manage flights and book people on and off those flights. At the moment this system is still in development so it allows the creation of flights and management of the seating on those flights but it does not yet have a boarding system. The boarding system will part of the next phase. |

Video Vault [7 images]
My most recent project. The aim of this is to create a basic you tube style video system for teaching staff at the College. Users can upload their videos or even import them from you tube. The videos are converted to flash streaming video format (flv) on the server and can be streamed to online courses. This is still a work in progress. Uses php/htm/css with mysql backend. Ffmpeg is used for video conversion and thumbnail generation. A tool called Clive is used for the import of you tube videos. |
